The Super Bowl is a tremendous financial windfall for whatever city it
lands
up to Super Bowl LIII, as tens of thousands of people traveled to the
city, visiting various venues for action-packed events.
Former two-sport star and current NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders
and his children, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, music mogul
Jermaine Dupri, hip-hop stars Young Jeezy and Bow Wow and singer Keri
Hilson all made sure Atlanta was well represented at the premiere of
ESPN Films 30 for 30 documentary “Deion’s Double Play” on the last
Wednesday of January. Following the screening, Sanders participated in
a question and answer session for 20 minutes that gave attendees even
more insight into the documentary.
Three days before the big game, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles
Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the Inside the NBA crew
invited media members to a live taping of the show to view
NBA All-Star Game jerseys designed by Jordan Brand. Along with the
debut of the jerseys, other Jordan Brand and Nike products were
showcased, including the Nike Adapt BB sneakers with self-lacing
technology. Among the more eye-catching products were pink Kevin
Durant signature sneakers, multi-colored Paul George kicks. NBA
All-Star Weekend takes place February 15-17.
Though the game itself was underwhelming, Super Bowl week
