A moonlit beach rendezvous in Florida took a violent turn on the night before Halloween, leaving a man bloodied and a young couple in handcuffs. According to law enforcement reports, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injured man waving down officers along Ocean Shore Boulevard, frantic and heavily bleeding from his leg and other parts of his body. This beach encounter—intended to be a consensual meeting, as the man later explained to police—turned into a scene of horror.

Authorities say the victim, whose name remains withheld, had agreed to meet 18-year-old Alana Cagle at the beach for an intimate liaison. Cagle allegedly drove the man to Bicentennial Park before they walked together to the shoreline. However, his excitement quickly turned to trepidation. According to an affidavit, he reported feeling an unsettling shift in the air just before events spiraled out of control.

At the beach, Cagle allegedly seated herself five feet from the man, produced a yellow rope, and began binding him, initially as agreed upon. But without warning, the situation took a sinister turn. The man reportedly saw another figure approaching in the dark—identified later as 24-year-old Wayne Streeter, Cagle’s boyfriend. In a sudden burst of violence, Streeter allegedly tackled the victim, choking him as Cagle struck him repeatedly with her fists. The brutality escalated when Cagle allegedly wielded a hatchet, hacking at the victim across his body.

Despite his injuries, the man managed to break free from the couple’s assault and flagged down deputies. Cagle and Streeter, now known to be in a relationship, were soon located and arrested. Streeter reportedly claimed he intervened because the victim had pushed Cagle, but denied involvement with the hatchet.

The couple, quickly dubbed a “Bonnie and Clyde duo” in local reports, each face charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. According to law enforcement, the victim sustained multiple deep cuts and lacerations, including “long cuts” on his abdomen.
