The New York Knicks have reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years. This after they dismantled the Boston Celtics 119-81 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals last Friday. It was the second straight time the Knicks have beat the Celtics in the playoffs as they also beat them in six games the last time they met in the playoffs in 2013.

The Knicks will now face the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals beginning Wednesday night. This will be the ninth time these two franchises have met in the playoffs all-time, all of which have come since 1993. The Pacers have beaten the Knicks the last three times the franchises have met in the postseason, including last season when the Pacers blew out an injured Knicks team in Game 7 at Madison Square Garden. “We know there is a long way to go,” Knicks star and captain Jalen Brunson said after eliminating Boston. “We don’t really look at it as an accomplishment, it’s just the next step, and we’re grateful, we’re thankful, but we know there is a long way to go.” The Knicks were 2-1 against Indiana in the regular season.
