The Knicks lost their third consecutive game on Monday night, this time at home, 103-94 to the Orlando Magic. Orlando entered the game with their top four scorers out due to injury and it appeared on paper that the Knicks could step on the court and get an easy win.
After Orlando’s Jett Howard hit a three at the end of the first half to give Orlando a two-point lead going into halftime the Knicks never lead again for the rest of the game. Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges scored game highs of 24 points. So did Orlando guard Cole Anthony however, son of former Knick Greg Anthony. “Our coach told us that we have enough,” Cole Anthony said after the game about getting the win despite his team’s injuries. “We are enough, and we just proved it again tonight that we have enough. Bodies down cool, we still got bodies that’s active and can still get after it.
The Knicks played this game without All-Star center Karl Anthony Towns who injured his hamstring in the Knicks previous game Saturday night in Chicago. The Knicks record is now 24-13 and they hosted Toronto Wednesday night looking to get back on the winning track.
