Without Andre Drummond and with Seth Curry going down in the first half, the Brooklyn Nets were in a dog fight with the Utah Jazz last night, who just beat the New York Knicks Sunday night. But Kevin Durant exploded for 15 third-quarter points and finished with 37, along with 9 rebounds and 8 assists, as Brooklyn defeated Utah 114-106.

Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash discussed the great all-around game of Durant.  “Scoring the ball, distributing the ball, defending, rebound,” Nash detailed all of the things Durant did to lead Brooklyn to victory. “We needed it, and he was incredible.”

The Brooklyn Nets face Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies on the road Wednesday in a nationally televised game. Durant was asked about the young superstar. “When he’s playing, I see like two or three, four different Hall of Famers in his game,” he said. “From Iverson, to, he might make a Jordan-like layup, or he might run down the court like a Westbrook or a D Rose.”

During the pregame, it was revealed that Ben Simmons has a herniated disc in his back, increasing concerns regarding his return to the court this season.
