It’s no secret that the beauty industry produces tons of waste—there are over one million single-use plastic bottles sold every minute. Thankfully, there are still ways to live more sustainably, that is what makes it click for Pamela booker, CEO of Koils By Nature.
Reduce, reuse, and recycle is the best system for cutting back on waste, however, somewhere along the way, we ended up focusing on just recycling while neglecting the fact that refillable options can also make a huge difference.
Koils By Nature is a leading hair and skincare brand that blends sustainability and style, and now they are launching one of the first-ever refill campaigns in the beauty industry.
Its #SaveYourBottles Campaign aims to help its customers understand that it doesn’t take a grand gesture to do something for the environment—once customers use their current supply of Koils by Nature, next time they’ll be able to order their next batch in convenient recyclable-material-made refill bottles. In this way, the customers can take a little extra care of the world while taking care of their own hair.
Pamela admits that the cycle of constant launches makes their clients tend to invest in new products instead of opting for refillable options. She also added that the execution of #SaveYourBottles is both expensive and logistically challenging. However, someone needs to take a step to make a difference, Pamela is hoping to help her customers do the same.
Pamela also talked about what initially inspired her to launch the campaign: “Our bathrooms are stocked full of beauty products in plastic bottles which we only use once. Lots of people do care about the environment and want to recycle, they just don’t know how to do it.”
By convincing customers to bring refillable beauty products into their routine, Pamela believes that they are making sustainability simple and approachable. Koils By Nature’s #SaveYourBottles campaign is not the only way her company is committed to the total wellbeing of its customers and community. Its mission has always been about providing animal cruelty-free and vegan-certified products made with high-quality, plant-based ingredients.
Pamela mentioned that sustainability takes up a huge part of their company philosophy since a lot of their beauty products—such as their conditioners, moisture-rich cleansers, and styling products are all inspired by nature. It only makes sense for Pamela to have a strong desire to care for the earth.
She believes that refillable products are a gift that keeps on giving. The young entrepreneur hopes to strike out on a new path, as well as to always come up with innovative solutions and eventually serve and satisfy her customers.
“I believe that’s why we’ve been able to not only survive during these difficult times, but thrive” said Pamela.
