Christ the King Parish School has rescinded it’s hair policy forbidding extensions after a young black girl is removed from class because of her hair. A video went viral of Faith Fennidy leaving school last week, and the family filed a lawsuit soon after. A state judge blocked the enforcement of the rule.

Another student joined the lawsuit as well, and their attempt was successful. Their attourney said, “When this issue arose, the school immediately reviewed its policy and recognized that there may have been sensitivities that needed to be addressed, they then reached out for input from the Office of Catholic Schools, the Office of Black Catholic Ministries, other principals, and parents.”
