Joseph Walter Jackson was well known as the creator of the Jackson 5, one of the most popular music groups in Motown history. Out of Jackson 5 came fame for his son, Michael Jackson.
According to TMZ, Jackson passed away Wednesday morning in Los Angeles. Jackson was 89 years old.
He allegedly passed away from cancer. Jackson was surrounded by loved ones like his wife Katherine, and his children and grandchildren.
Jackson was a controversial figure because his role in the Jackson 5 was surrounded by allegations of abuse.
